Ordering a Truck

Maui Kei Vans custom orders every vehicle to meet your exact needs. Standard tiny trucks are priced between $8k - $9k. Tiny Trucks with a dump bed may cost up to $10,000. Exact price will vary depending on mileage, condition, and drivetrain (2WD/4WD). The process, including attention to quality and condition, is the same as van imports. Age: Every vehicle will be over 25 years old in order to comply with federal law for public road use.

Mileage: Typical mileage is between 30,000 and 100,000 but usually below 80,000. Higher-mileage may be considered if maintenance records show a timing belt and water pump replacement.

Condition: Some wear and tear is expected on work vehicles over 25 years old. We will not import a truck that appears to have rusted undercarriage components.

Air conditioning: Some trucks are equipped with AC. When available, this adds about $400 to the price.

Transmission: Most tiny trucks are equipped with a manual transmission. Automatics are sometimes available. 

Quality: We work with a few select exporters to ensure only quality vehicles are purchased. Before leaving Japan, every vehicle is inspected by a professional mechanic. We will not import any vehicle with known mechanical problems.

Title: All vehicles come with a clean title.

The most common make/model are Honda Acty and Daihatsu Hijet. Subaru Sambar, Mitsubishi Minicab, or Suzuki Carry are also options however you may have to wait longer due to limited availability.
